Meet the Board of Directors
Fr Pecchie was born May 1, 1968 in Flushing, New York to Italian Irish parents with 3 older sisters and a younger brother. He was educated by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Brentwood Long Island, the Franciscan Brothers of Brooklyn for high school education and the Vincentians for college. He entered the college Seminary in 1988 and studied Moral Theology at St Vincent de Paul Seminary. He received instruction and motivation while in the seminary from Fr. John Hardon. He moved to Florida with his parents in 1990 where he transferred to the Seminary in the Diocese of St. Petersburg. He was ordained a priest May 20, 1995 and was assigned to Holy Family Parish in St. Petersburg.
While there he was a Master of Ceremony and taught freshmen and junior classes at St. Petersburg Catholic High School. In 1999 he became the Associate Pastor at St. Stephen's in Valrico Florida where he also served as Director of Liturgy and School Chaplain. In addition to these duties, he taught 5th and 6th grade Honors and Religion Classes for 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade students. In 2004 he was appointed Pastor of St Patrick's Catholic Church in Largo where he also oversees the Catholic school functions.
Anyone who has had the privilege of hearing him speak can attest to his untiring defense of the unborn and his no-nonsense Catholicism. His homilies at Mass are both powerful and unapologetically centered on the teachings of the Magisterium. Children of God for Life is deeply blessed and honored to have this holy good shepherd to guide us. Former
Spiritual Director - RIP May 19, 2006 Father Zimmerman was ordained in 1946 and spent most of his life as a missionary priest in Japan,
where he has now been laid to rest. As a
retired professor of moral theology from the Divine Word Seminary, which is
affiliated with Nanzan University, Nagoya, Japan. Father Zimmerman ardently loved
the Roman Catholic Church in complete fidelity to the Magisterium,. He never
feared to walk where angels tread - always ready to explore new territory where
doctrine and science interact - or sometimes clash!

A
Personal Note To Our Readers I want to tell each and every one of you who reads this that you, as an individual can make a difference. A big difference! I know I didn't feel that way when I began this work. I wondered what one person could possibly do to bring about changes. And I have to admit it was frightening to consider challenging the sheer immensity and power of the pharmaceutical industry when we began the Campaign for Ethical Vaccines. But I also knew that if I turned my back on all those parents and children - my fellow pro-life brothers and sisters, it would be like saying "no" to our Lord. And while moral theologians and ethicists argued whether one was complicit in the evil of abortion by using fetal tissue vaccines, I believed the only real "complicity" on my part would be if I did nothing about it. I can never take credit for the success that would follow, knowing fully well Who is really in charge around here! Every time I have felt myself failing, every time I became discouraged, every time I thought no one was listening, God has put someone in my path to help me. Every time! He has never failed me. And even though I sometimes think He is awfully slow to respond, I have come to realize everything happens according to His perfect timing. So if you are reading this, share it with your friends and tell them to share it with others. The "domino effect" has enormous power and it is exactly why Children of God for Life has been so successful thus far. Do we have ethical alternatives yet? No, but it is in the works. Have we broken the pharmaceutical companies of their nasty practices yet? No, but we are making noise and headway. In the fall of 2001 we were able to lobby effectively for ethical alternatives for smallpox while the vaccines were still under early development. And we are fighting the development of new vaccines for Ebola, Flu and AIDS that seek to use a new aborted fetal cell line called PER C6. But more than this, what we have done is educate hundreds of thousands of parents and physicians on the origins of these vaccines. We have linked forces with organizations such as the Catholic Medical Association, One More Soul and the Christian Medical and Dental Association to help parents find pro-life doctors to care for their families. We have changed the hearts of hardened pro-abortion advocates who if nothing else, understand that parents are entitled to choose medical treatments and protection for their families that do not violate their moral or religious beliefs. Browse our website and if we've touched your heart, share the news of our work with a friend. If not, contact me directly. It just means I have more work to do. I think the following quote by the invincible Mother Angelica of EWTN puts this into perspective, for I do believe that with God all things are possible!
"Everything starts with one person. God loves to work with weak people – like David, a little teenager with a slingshot defeated the fearsome Goliath. Gideon with only three hundred men saved the Jewish people from slaughter and slaves. I don’t care if you’re five or one hundred five. God from all eternity chose you to be where you are, at this time in history to change the world." (Mother Angelica)
