CHILDREN OF GOD FOR LIFE
...announced the discovery of plans by Crucell, NV and the National Institutes of Health's Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) along with several pharmaceutical companies to jointly develop vaccines which will use a brand new aborted fetal cell line named PER C6.  This cell line is derived from the retinal tissue of an 18 week gestation fetus, aborted because, according to Dr. Van Der Eb at a recent hearing with the FDA, "The women wanted to get rid of the fetus. The father was not known and that was, in fact, the reason why the abortion was requested."  In the FDA report Dr. Van Der Eb adds, "PER C6 was made just for the pharmaceutical manufacturing of adenovirus vectors.  I realize that this sounds a bit commercial, but PER C6 were made for that particular purpose."  The new alliances forged between Crucell and several pharmaceutical companies will use their patented PER C6 as the cell substrate to cultivate several new immunizations, including HIV, Ebola and Flu vaccines.  Not only is the cell line immoral and unnecessary, it also carries the potential for carcinogenic tumor formation.  The public is being asked to respond by writing formal letters of protest to Tommy Thompson at the Department of Health and Human Services, the Centers for Disease Control and the FDA (addresses below).  For more important information visit the Children of God for Life website at http://www.cogforlife.org

Any youth from grades 3 and up are encouraged to join our Youth Choir.  (2nd graders are welcome if they are already good singers!) Instrumentalists are also welcome!  Contact the director, Sister Yvonne, if you would like to join or if you have any questions, at 381-5120 (W) or 386-2407 (H).  I'm looking forward to making music with all of our youth and ministering with them to the rest of the parish family.
