2010 Dear Fr. Mark and the good people of St. Rose Parish, I am deeply grateful for the kind invitation that you made for me to come and speak at your parish on Our Lady’s birthday. In the intervening period of time I have been recalled to the diocese in Florida by my bishop, and I regret that I cannot come to be with you as the time frame to return is imminent. I have sent many materials from Human Life International for those of you who wish to use them for spreading the faith, and I will be with you in spirit if nothing else! While the timing of my departure is not the best, we must always make the best of every circumstance, and so let us take this opportunity to redouble our efforts to live our Catholic Faith in a world which is deeply in need of our witness. Let us direct all the efforts that we were going to put into preparing this event into the mission of defending the sanctity of human life in our local area and strengthening family life. God blesses every single work done for the cause of life, and that He gives abundant life in return. I will pray that Our Lady, the Mother of Life, will fill you and your families with the Love of God, and please know that I will be united with you around the altar of the Lord each day. Sincerely,
