The following companies plan to use the new aborted fetal cell line PER C6 to develop important new vaccines. They believe the public accepts such practices since there are existing vaccines using aborted fetal cell lines MRC-5 and WI-38 and the market is flourishing. Children of God for Life knows that if the majority of people in America knew what these companies were up to, it would swiftly bring an end to their sordid business. Stated Debi Vinnedge, Executive Director in a recent letter to these companies:
"We know it is unnecessary to use this cell line and in doing so, your company image portrays a lack of concern for the sanctity and dignity of human life. It is really no different than the action of Nazis who performed experiments on the murdered Jews during the holocaust. A helpless segment of society was targeted and used as a commodity for the benefit of others then, just as the remains of these babies are being used today. And while we understand and support the need for new and effective treatments for infectious disease, such products should only be developed using the highest ethical standards."
